CZPT Taper Lock Bush

The Taper Lock bush is a locking system commonly utilized in Electrical power Transmission Drives for finding pulleys,  sprockets,  and couplings to shafts. The Taper Lock bush is pre-bored and keyed to match the needed shaft and keyway diameters. The outside of the bush is tapered to match the component bore that is to be positioned on the shaft.

CZPT Taper bushes is manufactured from precision cast iron or carbon steel C45 with high top quality end.  They are commonly used to match into Sheaves, Sprockets,  Pins, V-belt Pulleys and Timing Pulleys.

Taper lock bushing dimensions are described by 4 digits symbolizing two quantities. The very first two digits represent the maximum bore diameter and the very last two digits symbolize the bushing size. For example, element number 1008 has a maximum ID of 1.” and an ID measurement of .8″ inches, with the all round size specified as a complete number of inches adopted by a fraction. For illustration, a 1.5″ diameter hole would be 1-1/2. Metric hole sizes are indicated by “MM” soon after the metric measurement (X 25MM). Simple to install and remove, these bushings fit on tapered bushing sprockets, or pulley. Bushing touches and wedges inwards, clamping sprocket shaft and bore. Bushing has an 8° taper and is created of steel with a black oxide coating.
